FAQ

  • Expect uplifting worship, kind folks, a welcoming atmosphere, and the truth of God’s word. Our services start with song and praise led by our talented musicians and then move into a time of teaching from God’s word, in a sermon brought by Pastor Matt Powell.

No matter if you prefer traditional or contemporary worship, we are united in our love of God and each other.

  • We currently have three morning worship services. The Gospel message (and the sermon) is the same, no matter which service you choose to attend.

    • 8:30 & 9:45 Worship in the Sanctuary is traditional services with modern elements blended in. These services will make anyone who has grown up in a traditional church feel right at home, but even those who have never gone to a service like this will enjoy the big sound of our orchestra and choir!

    • 11:00 Worship in the Fellowship Hall is a contemporary service with some traditional elements blended in. It features an amazing cast of musicians enthusiastically praising God!

We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to make parking and finding a seat easier. If you make it inside with enough time, you can grab some coffee before heading into worship.

  • We have room for you! Parking is marked all across our campus. Additional parking is available across the street at Pegues funeral home, and we offer a shuttle service from Milam School thats runs for the entire duration of Sunday morning. If you need help, flag down one of the guys on the golf carts, they will get you where you need to go.

  • Don’t worry! First Baptist has greeters stragicigly stationed all over the building. You’ll know them by their green lanyards. Any greeter will be happy to direct or assist you to any area you need to reach. The best way to enter the building is via “The Tower” pictured above.

  • Come as you are! There is no formal dress code at First Baptist. You are welcome to come casual to any service, but the 11:00 a.m. worship service will be the most casual. You can expect to see people dressed in suits and dresses, casual slacks, or jeans. We want you to be comfortable as you worship with us, and we believe that God is more concerned with the condition of the heart than the dress code.
